We just got home from our 15-month check up with the doctor, or well specifically the Physician Assistance. I have found that I enjoy and better relate to the PA at our Pediatrician so I prefer to book Cameron’s appointments with her whenever possible. My past experiences with some of the doctors have left me feeling frustrated, but she has always been really easy to talk to.

Everything went well the appointment, but Cameron played very shy. He clung to my leg when she walked into the room and then sat on my lap for the rest of the visit. He did let her use the stethoscope, but we less than thrill when she looked in his ears and when she looked into his mouth.
She agreed that he definitely had a lot of teeth coming in. He got the all clear for everything, and no concerns about his development based on the questions she asked. I know Matt and I continue to be impressed by the things he is learning in a small span of time.
For example, last Friday we were eating dinner and Cameron was reaching for more. So I said, ‘Do you want more?’. His response was to say ‘more’ while signing more at the same time. Matt, Sabrina, and I all looked at him in amazement because we didn’t teach him that. I did confirm with his daycare teachers that they have been working on it, and she was happy to hear he actually used it. They also have been working on the saying and signing ‘please’- but we haven’t seen that one spontaneously appear yet.
At the end of the appointment, Cameron did get his immunizations that were due for this visit. He usually takes them like a champ but this time he was much more upset about the process. He did calm down over time, but mostly he just wanted to get out of there and stood at the door.
After it was off to daycare where he made it just in time for snack time. He was happy to have some milk and graham crackers. I even managed to leave without him have a meltdown, though I was prepared to bring him home with me if necessary since he had just gotten shots.
